World Pipe Band Championships

The biggest and best event in piping is back! Once again, pipe bands from across the globe will descend onto Glasgow Green with one goal - to be the World Pipe Band Champions 2011!

The day will feature competitions across all grades, the in fiercely contested Drum Major contest, Highland Dancing and Glasgow World Highland Games Championships.

Welcoming bands from as far afield as Australia, Canada, Pakistan and New Zealand, this is the most anticipated musical event on the cultural calendar.  230 bands from 12 nations have entered this year’s championships.
