The Edinburgh Festival Fringe

It’s the biggest arts festival in the world which takes place every August for three weeks in Scotland’s capital city.  With something for everyone: theatre, comedy, music, dance, exhibitions and much, much more. In fact, it’s the number-one tourist attraction in the whole of Britain.

The Fringe caters for the biggest names in showbiz to the performers in the street and covers all sorts of art forms such as theatre, comedy, children’s shows, dance, physical theatre, musicals, operas, all genres of music, exhibitions, and events.  In 2010, over 21,000 participants staged over 40,000 performances of more than 2,400 shows to an estimated audience of 1.9 million.
